The 2006 Port Vila Kiwanis Club Race Week featured twice in the February edition of the top-level international Kiwanis magazine.

The article in the Kiwanis International website (also printed in the Kiwanis International magazine sent out to all members) is titled "Trifecta in the tropics", photographed and written by visiting American Kiwanis member Amy Wiser. The background and purpose of the Race Week is described to an audience of thousands of Kiwanis members all over the world.

An accompanying article titled "Tank you tumas, Kiwanis, thank you", written by New Zealand Kiwanis members, describes some of the amazing work that the Kiwis have done to get supplies and equipment transported in bulk from New Zealand to Vanuatu. Close cooperation with the United States Peace Corps ensures that these goodies get outside the 'easier' urban centres.
